BOBBY SCHARBER WINS $30,000 AT THE 2019 PICKWICK / WILSON BASH
Posted by editor on June 4, 2019
The 2nd annual Pickwick / Wilson Lake Big Bass Bash is now in the books, and what a great event it was. Over 500 anglers participated in the 2019 event, competing for cash prizes totaling over $107,000. We want to thank all of the anglers for your tremendous support for this event, as well as Florence Tourism for all of their support. The hospitality we received from the local community was greatly appreciated.
The summertime pattern was definitely in effect, with the majority of the money fish coming from anglers targeting the ledges on Pickwick Lake. Bobby Scharber, of Pulaski, TN, was one of those fisherman targeting ledges throughout the weekend. Bobby finessed his way to the top prize, using a drop shot rig on 10 lb. line to haul in his 8.26 lb. winning fish. Bobby weighed in his fish at the Waterloo Riverside weigh-in station during the 8am-10am time slot on Sunday. That bass held up the remainder of the day, earning Bobby the win and the top prize of $30,000 in cash. Congratulations again to Bobby Scharber, your 2019 Pickwick / Wilson Lake Big Bass Bash champion.
Don't forget, the 2020 Pickwick / Wilson Lake Big Bass Bash will be held on March 21-22.

Posted by editor on May 14, 2019
The 3rd stop of the AiA Grand Lake division yielded a total of 109 boats. With the high water and floating debris scattered around Grand Lake, AiA gave anglers the option to trailer to other ramps to launch in the morning. Safety first!
Teams arrived back at the Wolf Creek Park Saturday afternoon, ready to weigh in their catch. A total of 322 bass made their way across the AiA scales Saturday, totaling 904.06 lbs. There were 50 five fish limits weighed in.
Anglers in Action veterans, Jim Zaleski and Zac Udock, took their first AiA win Saturday with an impressive sack that weighed in at 21.56 lbs. They reported fishing down lake, targeting steep bluffs with Bruiser Big Stickbaits and C&C Custom Jigs to round up their winning weight. Zac & Jim took home a total of $3,780.00 for their win. Congrats guys !
Second place went to the team of Jerry Weisinger & Charlie Apperson. They came up just short of the first place team, with 5 fish that locked in on 21.48 lbs. Charlie & Jerry took home $2,460.00 for their second place finish.
Third place overall went to the team of Tim Hickson and Ben King, with 5 solid bass that weighed in at 20.93 lbs. Ben & Tim walked away with $1,720.00.
Lew's Big Bass of the event went to Toby Hartsell and James Norman. They weighed in a 6.53 lb. bruiser to take Big Bass and 11th place overall, for total winnings of $1,400.00.
First place out of the money took home the $200 Timmons Oil Company gift certificate. That went to the team of Jody Buckle and Art Hines. The Timmons Oil Company certificate can be used at either the Tulsa, OK location or the Springdale, AR location. Don't forget Timmons Oil Company is the Title Sponsor for the upcoming Big Bass Bash at Grand Lake. Bring your Timmons Oil Company receipts to the awards ceremony at the Bash, we will then draw one receipt from the drum and that person will win $500.

BUELTMANN & VERHOEF TOP 112 BOAT FIELD WITH 22.34 LBS AT LAKE OF THE OZARKS
Posted by editor on May 6, 2019
The final regular season tournament in the Lake of the Ozarks division is now in the books. 112 boats gathered at the PB2 ramp in Osage Beach, MO on Sunday, ready to hit the water. A thick blanket of fog greeted the anglers, which led to a delay in take off Sunday. Around 7am, teams blasted off from PB2, in search of 5 big bass to bring across the AiA scales that afternoon.
Rob Bueltmann and Ben Verhoef were one of those teams looking for 5 good bites Sunday, and they found them. Ben and Rob hammered Lake of the Ozarks for 22.34 lbs., which was enough to seal the win at the final regular season event of the Lake of the Ozarks division. They reported catching a big one early Sunday on topwater, then switched over to a Carolina rig to haul in the remainder of their bass. They took home a total of $3,680.00 for their win. Congratulations gentlemen!
Michael Montgomery and James Frank had a great year, and they won the Bassing Bob Lake of the Ozarks division points race with 928 points. James and Michael had a total weight of 73.40 lbs. over 4 events. They'll take home $500, courtesy of Bassing Bob. Visit www.bassingbob.com for all of your Lake of the Ozarks fishing information.
