aialozmay3_header.jpg

The 2020 season for Anglers in Action at Lake of the Ozarks is now complete. A total of 169 teams arrived at PB2 ramp for a 6am takeoff Sunday morning. With social distancing guidelines in place for this event, there were no crowds at registration and weigh-in was moved from PB2 to a drive-thru format at the PaHeTsi parking lot. Once teams loaded up at PB2 that afternoon, they made their way over to PaHeTsi, pulled their rigs in front of the AiA stage and had there fish weighed. We want to thank you all for making it a smooth transition and adhering to the social distancing guidelines.

There were a total of 471 bass weighed in Sunday, which included 75 five fish limits. Once the bass came across the scales, they were put into the AFTCO BASS BUS, where there were cared for during the event. All fish were then transported back out to the tournament waters, where they were released alive and healthy, ready to catch another day. Thanks to Bryce and Mark with Ulrich Marine for managing the AFTCO BASS BUS during the event.

Terry Bradley and Matt Gunter brought the heaviest sack across the scales Sunday, with 5 bass that pushed the AiA scales down to 22.78 lbs. They reported catching all there fish shallow, flipping Chomper's jigs and soft plastics. Matt and Terry took home a total of $6,550 in Anglers in Action winnings, plus $7,000 in additional incentive money. Congratulations on your win gentlemen!

Big Bass of the event and second place overall went to the team of Brock Reinkemeyer and Brad Jelinek. They just missed first place, with 5 bass that weighed in at 22.74 lbs., including a giant that tipped the scales at 7.81 lbs. Brad and Brock won a total of $4,874. Congrats guys!

aia_logousa.png

- With the cancellation of 3 of our Anglers in Action tournaments in April (one cancellation at each lake), and the scheduling conflicts and lack of available dates for the remaining of the year, we will be adjusting the 2020 season schedule.

- We will modify our original schedule of 4 tournaments at each lake, to 3 tournaments per lake. This will also change the qualification for the 2020 AiA Tournament of Champions, presented by Ranger Boats

2020 TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS: How to qualify for the 2020 Anglers in Action Tournament of Champions: All teams that fish all 3 tournaments in their division will qualify for the 2020 Tournament of Champions. We will then take the top 50% of teams in points in each division and those teams will also qualify. (Must fish a minimum of 2 tournaments to qualify) POINTS WILL BE BASED ON A TEAMS BEST 3 TOURNAMENTS

Below is the remaining 2020 AiA season schedule:

We apologize for any inconveniences that adjusting our tournament schedule has caused. We hope you are all doing well and we look forward to getting back to some normalcy soon. Take care and we will see you all on the water soon !
